Give other people access to your account

If someone else helps with your websites, such as a colleague or a web developer, invite them to the control panel with their own email address and password. Never share your own sign-in: with separate users you can see who did what in the activity log, and remove someone’s access without changing your password.

The Invite new user form. Marker 1 is beside the Full name label, marker 2 beside the invite method, with Invite with email ticked, and marker 3 beside the list of user roles: Super admin, Support, Business and Collaborator.
  1. Sign in to the control panel and open Users in the left menu.

  2. Select Invite user.

  3. Enter the person’s Full name and Email address marker 1.

  4. Choose the Invite method marker 2:

    • Invite with email sends the invitation to their email address.
    • Invite with link shows an invitation link after you select Invite, for you to send them yourself.
  5. Choose a User role marker 3. Give each person the least access they need. For Collaborator, a list of your Websites appears: tick the ones they may manage.

  6. Select Invite.

The person follows the invitation to set their own password, then signs in at ecp.sheernox.com.

Role Can
Super admin Everything, with no restrictions
Collaborator Manage only the websites you give them access to. Use this for a web developer working on one site

You may also see Support, for managing customers and their websites, and Business, for managing packages and branding. They are for reseller accounts.

The Users page lists everyone with access, their role, whether they have two-factor authentication switched on, and when they were added. Remove people from this page as soon as they no longer need access.
