Use your own nameservers

Your customers’ domains normally use the Sheernox nameservers. To show your own instead, such as ns1.youragency.com, open Settings, then Platform, and use Nameservers.

The Nameservers section with a Hostname field and Add button, and a panel explaining that A records must be created, listing the IP addresses to use. Marker 1 is beside the Hostname field and marker 2 beside the list of IP addresses.
  1. At the DNS provider for your domain, create an A record for each nameserver, such as ns1 and ns2. Point each one to a different IP address from the list shown in the control panel marker 2.

  2. If your domain’s own nameservers will be the new ones, also create glue records for them at your domain registrar.

  3. Enter each nameserver in Hostname marker 1 and select Add.

The nameservers you add are given to new and existing customer domains, and shown to customers whose domains do not point to Sheernox yet.
