Registering

Section titled “What are the Canadian Presence Requirements for .ca?”To register a .ca domain, the registrant must have a Canadian connection, such as being a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, a corporation registered in Canada, or the owner of a trademark registered in Canada. You choose the matching category when you order. See Extra rules for .ca domains.
Is WHOIS privacy really free?
Section titled “Is WHOIS privacy really free?”Yes, on every extension whose registry allows privacy, with no extra charge at renewal. For .ca, the registry already hides the contact details of individual registrants. See Domain privacy and DNSSEC.
How much does a domain cost to renew?
Section titled “How much does a domain cost to renew?”The same as registering it. Each extension has one yearly price for registering, renewing and transferring, listed on the domains page. Price change terms are in the Terms of Service.
What happens if my domain expires?
Section titled “What happens if my domain expires?”Your website and email on it stop working. Renewal invoices arrive with your other Sheernox invoices, so keep your account email address up to date. See Renew, update or move a domain.
Can I get a refund on a domain?
Section titled “Can I get a refund on a domain?”Refund terms for domain registrations and renewals are in the Terms of Service. Check the spelling before you order: a typo cannot be corrected after registration.
Transferring and pointing
Section titled “Transferring and pointing”How do I transfer a domain to Sheernox?
Section titled “How do I transfer a domain to Sheernox?”Unlock the domain at your current registrar, get its authorization (EPP) code, and start the transfer in the client portal. In most cases the transfer adds one year to the registration, so you keep the time you already paid for. See Transfer a domain to Sheernox.
What are the Sheernox nameservers?
Section titled “What are the Sheernox nameservers?”ns1.sheernox.com and ns2.sheernox.com, unless your control panel or welcome email shows different ones. See Point your domain to Sheernox.
How long does a nameserver change take?
Section titled “How long does a nameserver change take?”Usually a few hours, but it can take 24 to 48 hours to reach every network. During that time some visitors may still reach your old host. If your domain still shows the old site after that, see Wrong site or an SSL warning.
Can I keep my domain at another registrar?
Section titled “Can I keep my domain at another registrar?”Yes. Sign in where the domain is registered and change its nameservers to the Sheernox ones. See Registered somewhere else.
Can I use my domain with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
