Give the control panel your own address
Your customers cannot sign in until you set a control panel domain. Open Settings, then Platform.
| Setting | What it is for | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Control panel domain marker 1 | Where your customers sign in | cp.youragency.com |
| phpMyAdmin domain marker 2 | Where your customers manage their databases | db.youragency.com |
| Staging domain marker 3 | The domain added to the end of staging copies of your customers’ websites. Its nameservers must point to Sheernox | staging.youragency.com |
-
Choose a subdomain of a domain you own, such as
cp.youragency.com. -
Make sure it points to Sheernox:
- If the domain uses the Sheernox nameservers, there is nothing to do: the records are set up automatically.
- If the domain uses another DNS provider, such as Cloudflare, add an A record for the subdomain there, pointing to the same IP address as
ecp.sheernox.com. If you are not sure which address that is, contact support.
-
Enter the subdomain in Control panel domain and select Save. Do the same for the phpMyAdmin domain if you want one.
Webmail needs no setup: each customer reaches webmail at mail. followed by their own domain.
