Manage your contacts in webmail

Open Contacts in the left menu to see your address book. When you write a message, webmail suggests addresses from it as you type.

The webmail address book with a contact open. Marker 1 is in the list of address books, marker 2 beside the Create button, marker 3 beside the Import and Export buttons and marker 4 beside the Edit button.

The list on the left marker 1 has three address books:

Address book What it holds
Personal Addresses The contacts you add yourself.
Collected Recipients Addresses you have sent mail to, added automatically so webmail can suggest them next time.
Trusted Senders Senders you have marked as trusted, for example by choosing to always show their remote images.
  1. Select Personal Addresses, then Create marker 2.

  2. Enter the name and email address. Use Add field to add a phone number, company, postal address or other details.

  3. Select Save.

To add the sender of a message you are reading, select their name above the message and choose Add to address book.

Select the contact, then Edit marker 4. Change the details and select Save.

To delete contacts, select them and choose Delete in the toolbar.

A group lets you write to several people at once.

  1. Select the three-dot menu at the top of the address book list, next to Groups, and choose Add group.

  2. Name the group and save it.

  3. Drag contacts from the list onto the group.

To send to everyone in a group, select the people button at the end of the To field while you write, then choose the group. Use Bcc when the members should not see each other’s addresses.

You can bring in contacts exported from another mail service or app as a vCard (.vcf) or CSV file.

  1. Export your contacts from the old service or app as vCard or CSV.

  2. In webmail, open Contacts and select Import marker 3.

  3. Choose the file and select Import.

To replace the whole address book with the file instead of adding to it, turn on the option to replace the existing address book before you import.

Select Export marker 3 to download all contacts in the open address book as a vCard (.vcf) file. The arrow beside it exports only the selected contacts. Most mail apps and phones can import vCard files.
