Manage your UptimeHawk account

The Account menu holds your account details, plan usage and SMS credits.

Account > Account Settings shows your username, plan and the date you joined, and lets you change:

Setting What it is for
Name Your name on the account
Email (master contact) Where UptimeHawk sends account notices, and the master contact for alerts. Use a regular mailbox, not an SMS or pager address; add those as extra contacts.
Country Your country
Time Zone Used for alerts, reports and maintenance windows. Each option shows its current time, so you can match it to your clock.
Paging Preference How many items each list in the panel shows per page
Email Preferences Which announcements you receive: updates, monitoring network changes, DNS advisory notices, offers and the referral program

Select Update to save.

  1. On Account Settings, select (change) beside your username.

  2. Enter the New Username and your Current Password, and submit the form.

Sign in with the new username from then on.

Account > Usage shows how many tests your plan includes, how many you are using and how many are left, by monitoring interval. Every website test uses one test, and so does every test on a server, including ping. Quick tests do not count.

When you run low, remove tests you no longer need (Pause, edit or remove a monitor) or add more to your plan. Account > Subscription shows your plan, with Add More Tests. Plans are compared on the UptimeHawk pricing page.

SMS alerts use SMS credits. Account > SMS Usage shows:

  • your Remaining Credit and when you last topped up, with View SMS History;
  • Purchase SMS Credits, to buy a bundle of credits;
  • Credit Low Settings, where you set the number of credits below which UptimeHawk emails you a reminder. Select Update to save it.

Test every mobile number you add before you rely on it for alerts.

Account > Statement sets the billing contact shown on your UptimeHawk invoices: type the name and address, then select Update Billing Contact. Account > Funds shows any prepaid balance on your account.
